I am looking into tv . I like watching some shows and would like to dvr them so I could watch on weekends or that ridiculous 36 hour restart. Need something to do while staring at them sleeper walls .
Any ideas on a dvr system ? what watt of power inverter I would need ?

You got Dish or DirectTV at home?
Best bet is get a Vuqube or something along those lines.
Add an extra DVR Box to your Account.
    Cheaper that way.

unfortunately I am surrounded by big trees and can not get dish . Just dumped cox cable yesterday since every box they have given me has been junk and the last a dvr would not record . So that is why I was thinking truck . I could dvr them shows I like to watch and then watch them on my days off.

What I need to know is exactly what all is required to use a sat antenna and DVR . If I bought a tailgater would my Cobra 1000 Watt inverter run a Tv and DVR ?
I am guessing I would only need the antenna and receiver and the pay as you go Dish package .
Will a tailgater pick up good if parked in a location without direct sight of Southern sky ? that is the problem I have at home .
