3 or 4 k is after fuel and deducts so math is right and he is right about the guys hauling for a carrier for .95 to 1.05 a mile but that's mostly lease operator's (but they get something for deadhead miles which makes the math better but still underpaid ) ... it's really not that bad of a deal I guess ... I work that area and the rates are really good right now and I don't do much for under 3.00 and nothing for under 2.50

I always forward the rate confirmation/Load tender to all of the o/o s on my fleet. That keeps everything above board and prevents suspicion and ill will. That should be SOP for any company that uses contractors, especially if the contractor is paid on percentage.
