It basically is your everyday trash. Most places bail it this load was loose.
EggoTrucker Thanks this. -
I thought garbage was on our no-haul list. I'll have to recheck it. I know I've picked up trailers that smelled like they hauled trash.
I got to experience lovely chicago again, yesterday. Lovely business in the middle of a neighborhood with low bridges all over the place. Every street going to it having a weight limit sign with added road construction thrown in. Then lets add a "back in off the street" to the mix. Now to top it off with another driver taking an HOUR to get the only dock, even with me helping.
They had me pick up another relay at the Gary OC today, after I got my trailer fixed (landing gear damaged back in march.of course no one wants to get it fixed) then tried to give me another local run that picked up in the evening the following day and delivered that night at 1:30am. 7 hours for a 180 mile load.. I sent a flat out refusal on the qualcomm. April was one of the worst months I have had here(had to do a few "favors" and the joke of trying to get a truck in for a service at a shop I trust)and if May is the same..........I been home 3 times since the second week of December with one of those being just long enough to sleep and check my mail. The other was a restart and if I didnt leave right at the end of it ,"We don't know if we'll have any loads left for you"
I feel like I'm doing something wrong. I run what I'm given and I do it as efficient as I can. I stay out for months at a time and I run everywhere but the N/E and I still cant average $900 gross a week. Money that I have never had an issue making since 2005, driving for other companies.
I had promised myself that I would stay here a year, long enough to pay off my Xterra, but I'm struggling with that decision now. -
Are you a company or ic driver?
-
Company. I have thought about being an I/C, but I dont want truck payments. I was going to save money until I could pay cash for a truck.

bring it up to your DBL and if you have to,go higher(I've been spoiled tho, now mickymause is too)
mickimause Thanks this. -
Scaled out at 11,400 on the steers, 34,000 on the drives, 34,000 on the trailer. 5th wheel is all ready all the way forward and I'm under 1/4 tank of fuel and DEF. Looks like tomorrow will be a "run 150 miles then weigh and fuel" rinse and repeat day.
Tried to upload a picture but for some reason .jpeg won't load.
