Guys if you log correctly and run out of hours on the road then you should be thanking dispatch because that means you gotta some awesome miles. 70 hours is 70 hours no matter how you slice it. You can run a certain amount of miles a week, if you get lucky run it till your out and then enjoy some paid time off. You will come out ahead. The problem I see is a lot of guys take restarts before they need one and lots of guys have way too much on duty time. No reason to overthink the 70, just log right.

To each his own. Do what YOU want, it's your truck and your business. Why do I care if someone runs recap or takes a reset once a week? All I care about is what I do. If you're happy and making money it's all good.

Wasn't saying that at all. Was agreeing with you. No one shoe fits everyone, to each his own. Freedom is one of the perks of this job.

Thats the point 70 hrs is 70 hrs...no matter how you look at it...For example you show 8 hrs to drive on your NAT...and lets say you get a 400 mile load and the next guy shows all of his time and get an 800 mile load...I show all of my hours available so i can try and get the best load fitted for me in that market

The problem with taking a 34 on the road for me is the fact that it is time away from home. I want to spend my days off at my house not in a truck stop. You get roughly 17 days off every quarter. I spend all 17 at my house. Schneider counts a 34 as a day off, so that's one less at my house. Just the way I like running. I run for about 17 days and get 4 days at the house, and it keeps my work time over their 80% for my bonus.
