A friend of mine got fire for idling. He worked for schneider for like 3 years. But he said he idle non-stop for months lol never shut the truck off. I never got complaint for idling. Usually a few hours before bed that's it

Idle percentage affects your bonuses. I would tell my dbl they are welcome to come on out to the truck and live in it without idling but you are going to do what you need to do to stay cool and safe and comfortable. You don't see your dbl working and living without ac do you? If your dbl keeps hounding you about it take it over their head, everyone has a boss.

That is why I will never again own a truck without some forms of APU. Be it the all electric "Park Smart" like I have now or a diesel power unit. Can't be safe if you can't get enough sleep.

Idle your truck. Schneider doesn't pay enough to deal with that BS. My black truck is almost 98 degrees inside of it right now in Beloit, Wi. If they have an issue, then next time your at your OC, tell your DBL to grab his laptop and go sit in your truck and do his work for a few hours, with the truck off.
When I was at Knight, the office in SLC was raising heck about Idle times during the summer and one of the drivers came into the office and shut off the thermostat and locked the temperature somehow. You never heard such bawling. I think He got fired over it, but it was still a great story. Really caused alot of animosity between the office staff and the drivers for a while.

AND ANOTHER TRAILER WITH THE ABS LIGHT COMPLETLY RIPPED OFF THE TRAILER AND THE WIRES CUT!
I am seriously getting so disgusted by this. You can see where they took a hammer and smashed the LED out.

what i dont understand is the harassment about idling
from what i understand if its over 70 degrees outside or under 20 we can idle and its not a issue i have followed that and im still getting problems from my dbl

No, the sensors on the truck will allow it to idle when it's over 70 and under 20. But the only idle time not held against you is when it's under 10 degrees. There's no exclusion for high temps.
