I received a message the other day saying I was getting a penny raise on the 29th but I wouldn't consider myself a top tier driver.

I see that it's one of those 'Selective raises' I was told that 48 state drivers were getting a .02 raise, starting july 1st. My DBL called me about it 2 days ago and just sat there shaking my head. He was telling me how I could now "top out" at .41 a mile with my .02 bonus thrown in. I replied that I was told on my hire date that .41 was the top out rate a year ago WITHOUT the bonus. He couldn't answer me and sputtered around a bit. I love the guy dearly, but He takes the Schneider coolaid and never questions anything.
He stopped telling me things over the qcomm after I told him that I take pictures of everything that comes over it. Cuts down on the threats significantly .

I see them all the time. that's how they bring our "use" trucks for new drivers, the cascadia gets brought by a wrecker. when I first started I thought all those cascadia were breaking down on the road lol

I just loved that a daycab was towing a full-size tractor, and then a pick-up truck was rigged between the two. The whole setup just made me do a double-take.

I've seen this setup come in and out of Gary a lot, only OC I've seen it at but I'm sure it happens a lot all over. Seems like an inefficient way to move trucks around though compared to one tractor pulling 2 or 3 centipede-style with the front axles stacked on eachothers 5th wheels.

    w.h.o Thanks this.

With the two trucks stacked like that one guy can hook everything up by himself, when you have 3 or 4 piggy-backed on each other that usually involves having a wrecker stacking the truck, and then a tire man to take the steers off and sometimes you have to take the roof top farrings off.
