Are their any bulk drivers who frequent this thread? I am waiting to start school and saw on the site a person can make up to around 80K a year, but I'm sure there are stipulations. I'm just looking for basic info to see if it is work the extra work, not that I mind work. Thanks!

Former Bulk driver here, I have no idea how they got the 80k number. I was a trainer and ran 3 weeks out with about 4 days off and I would never have even sniffed 80k. It's possible, but highly unlikely. Now the company I'm with now I should make well over 80k this year, but I have a weekly minimum, not so dependent on miles.

That 80k is actually pretty unrealistic. 60-65k for an experience driver would be more realistic if you wanted to actually take time off. One of the main reasons I only ran bulk for a couple months is all of the sitting I constantly was doing waiting for loads. One week in particular I had three 34 hr restarts. I couldn't take it any longer.

Those numbers are right, don't know why you sat so much I never had that problem. Schneider kept me pretty busy.

Can any of you company drivers enlighten me on the idling policy or does SNI have APUs or opti idle nowadays? I like a lot of what I hear about this company but I will not be hot in the summer, my house is set to 72 during the day and 68 at night. I like it cold. I won't live any different on the road. Thanks!

Lease Purchase trucks have APU. Company trucks do not.

So company trucks don't have anything like Opti Idle either? How strict are they on the idling rules?

Not all lease trucks have apu or a parksmart. My company truck has a parksmart.

Sigh recieved a level 2 in Michigan today..Violations(no trailer registration:Ta147 trlr) the cop said since he couldnt have the registration in his hand, it was not valid and Schneider needs to change setup. Violation 2: Improper driving in left lane (only two lanes NOT 3) he said i was out there too long. SMDH im getting a lawyer for the Improper driving, and SNI said they will take care of the registration. What a day!
