The week of 6/20ish an experianced IC was in GB for his annual. Had a bad hook, "looked at the jaws", and said everything was A Okay, despite the handle being halfway out and the jaws having a shiny spot. OSR grabbed one of the "mechanics" and a senior OSR and the three of them told him the IC what a dumb ### he was. Maybe one out of 200 recerts are worth it, but I understand the why and what for.
I was looking through my pictures for anything to add to the PITA docks thread but couldn't find anything but I did come across this one. I saw this on I5 southbound in Eugene or Salem OR a few years back. I was going about 60mph and it passed me at probably around 75mph.
Well that was a never again unless I deliver somewhere along there trip. Coulda swore I heard banjos. 2 in fact.dueling banjos if you will. Tn 68 from I-75 down into NC then to Ga. Cherokee Nat Forest. Beautiful. Steep. Tight. Not again in a truck. Haven't needed to grab 5th up a grade since I got out of the beater 06 Century's. 107 miles to delivery this morning. Figured it would be slow.started at 0610. Arrived at 0854.
