Guess what.... I bet when you turn your wipers on your cruise control shuts off as well! Seems we are no longer capable of knowing when it's safe or isn't safe to have cruise control on... Slight sprinkling, cruise off. Got some bug goo, cruise off... As soon as I returned to SNI as a company driver they started making these BS changes. How about you start firing the idiots who are causing the problems rather then imposing these ridiculous safety schemes on everyone. Needless to say, I'll be becoming an IC before the end of the year.

Been away from the forum for a couple of days and now I'm trying to catch up...

I'm a company driver and I'm still here!!!

I agree. They should just deal with the ones causing trouble instead of micromanaging all of us. However, I tried yesterday and my cruise doesn't disengage when I wash the windshield. Haven't checked to see if it actually disengages when I turn on the wipers. The shop said it would, but I haven't tried yet.

Looks like I'll be back on Friday. Got some phone calls from people far above my pay grade about some concerns that I had. Still have a few, but I'm pleased to be coming back. I don't know how long I'll stay company or in dryvan, but I'll do it for 6 months and then decide to go I/c and/or bulk. God, I miss tankers, but we don't have anything out here yet. We have some bulk guys doing something with the oilfields or the refineries, but it appears to be a secret that only people in green bay know about

Picked up a load in Low Banos CA, now headed to Laredo TX. 1639 paid miles. Gonna try to schedule a PM at the Laredo OC on Tuesday after I deliver the load. Truck will probably be going to Freightliner as well as I need an alignment done due to the camber being off on the driver steer tire. Been like it since I got this truck a month and a half ago. You would think schneider would have done something about it before they have it out to another driver, but then again the previous driver probably never reported it. Will be stopping at the Fontana OC tomorrow to fuel and have the driver side steer changed due to being worn down on the outer inside tread bar due to the alignment issue. Over all tread depth is getting low and would probably be changed at PM anyway but the inside wear is getting pretty bad and I don't want to risk a ticket or blow out.

Was hoping the steer tire change was gonna be a quick in and out :(. 45 minutes later, still waiting on the 1 truck to pull out of the express bay.
