Is anybody running intermodal out of Worcester,MA? Looking to run regional. What's involved with the training in Chicago? How much different is a container vs van? Do they handle different?

I do not run out of Mass I am out of Pa if you run regional you still can be home 3 to 4 nights a week plus your two days a week. As far as training in Chicago it is very good a lot of good info plus you will drive two days with a trainer to show you the in and outs of rail yards. It is very easy if you know how to drive
sfw Thanks this. -

No I didn't. Schneider did not hire me because of a dropped trailer in 2009.It was my own fault for not telling them about it in the begining.(I completely forgot about it!) But rules are rules I guess.

quick question, does runnning intermodal require hazmat
-
They just sent out a message that by the first of the year you must have haz mat and tanker on your CDL. I already have both... so no big deal.

Yes you will need hazmat but they give you time to get it. You do not need it to be hired
