Great question. It's possible I missed something but the post (#1) has a female picture or what looks like a female with it and the tone of writing appears female so those are the references I have to work with. Post #48 is very different than post #1. Your thoughts.
Schneider is Awesome!

Not to take anything away from the OP, but Schneider shorted me on my last check, by exactly $800. I told them I quit, have a 2 weeks notice and delivered my last load, but the check was very wrong.
Cherokee65 Thanks this. -
Sorry to hear this happened to you. Without additional information and I certainly wouldn't presume to discount your feelings or anger, but is there someone you trust such as a co-worker, shop steward, dispatcher, TE, etc that you could ask for their advice and possible help to approach someone in payroll in order to clear this up. This happened regularly to a number of co-workers with my former transit company employer. We had to submit a payroll correction through our union shop steward for an adjustment and sometimes it would take a while to clear up, but it would fix the problem.
If it's not too late to stop your 2 week notice, I would start with that and then approach a friend for help. Hate to see you leave for what may be an easy fix.
I wish you success!Last edited: Feb 17, 2026

I'd bet that in the TEN YEARS since this post was created that they have moved on with their lives. Who even knows where they live now.....Cherokee65 Thanks this.

They shorted my check Because I quit. My check was short from them multiple times but the last one was the biggest. They never fixed any of the shortages and it happened 3 times. I asked everyone I could think of. Called HR and payroll my boss his boss. They didn't care about that.

I've heard good things about Crete, best of luck.

Sorry to hear this happened to you and no one should have to go through that. An employer cannot withhold pay as punishment; if an employee violates company policy and leaves on bad terms, they are still owed their full paycheck.
Have you contacted them in writing which is referred to as a demand letter. Send it with a return receipt requested in case you take them to small claims court. This will be your official notice of attempt to resolve the matter.
You can file a complaint with the Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Commission. You can also pursue a case at the state level, through your state's workforce agency.
I wish you success.Mega Express Thanks this. -
No I haven't done any of that, I'll just forever be another person who got screwed over by a mega carrier and remembers them as the company that shook me down rather than the company that gave me a job early on.
