Be careful....
Schneider will likely want AT LEAST 3 MONTHS previous experience elsewhere.
For intermodal gigs there -- they will want AT LEAST 6 MONTHS experience elsewhere.
Home time for me at intermodal was weekly.
Yours may (or may not) be the same.
Your takeaway here: get that next job in the bag, first -- then you can think about quitting Pam Transport....

Would you recommend intermodal account over DG?
Also, do you know how often the intermodal guys get home with Schneider?Chi Town Steers Thanks this. -
And you’re absolutely right. I’m looking to secure a new job before quitting with PAM.Attached Files:

Why would anyone run for 50 -55cpm now?

I know. Brand new CDL with 6 weeks experience should make at least $1.00/Mile on W-2 with a minimum of 3200 miles a week guaranteed.

Home Depot is very casual and they have proper docks and such. Plenty of room to set up and back up. The only problem I had with them was sometimes you had to do a double drop and hook.
Show up, drop your load in the parking lot, then hook to the empty that's currently in the door, pull it out, drop it in the lot, hook back up to your load, put it in the door, drop out and then hook to your empty and leave.
It was a bit annoying, but really not that bad.
Dollar General? They don't print enough money for me to do that job.
Here's tip #2, if you've only got 30 days in, the chances of you having an accident or incident are exponentially higher in DG's lots. Then after Schneider runs you off for accidents with less than 90 days or so, your chances of getting a decent job are exponentially lower.
Good luck.Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this. -
