I dunno man. I may not become a millionaire from trucking but it beats the 25 to 30,000 a year these warehouses are offering.

When did you leave trucking? How long were you a driver before you realized your mistake and made a career change? What type work are you doing now?

You know as much I hate trucking I was told from the start before ever getting in by all my relatives they told me. You will either fall in love with it which is rare, or learn to hate it. theres really no middle ground. most have gotten out over the years I have a few who served relatives they don't hate it more as they trying to find there path since leaving military.

Back to topic with the exception of a trade skill you pick up by pure determination or schooling you really gonna have hard time finding pay better then high end trucking jobs.

Aside from trades most the ones that make more be something more require school and a degree even then you may still hate it. It boils down to what your willing to put up with and not willing to deal with. I have known many electricians, welders, truck driver and many more who just cannot find the sweet spot. I know where I plan to be in 2 years out of trucking with a degree only because trucking gave me time and money do what needs to be done.
I could even do the job without the degree but with a lot less pay since I have some experience I with some college and it was a job I genuinely liked just wasn't enough pay college will make it where I can pay bills and love it which what made me leave. I only need a set amount money per week to get ahead I have money coming elsewhere but thats all going to reinvest into something else increase my passive income which coming along nicely.

As far as what I know about Freymiller. I know they will fly you out to orientation depending on where you live. Which is nice. No renting a car or riding the crackhound. Orientation is like 3 days.
I believe detention starts automatically after 2 hours. So no fighting for your money. Preferred fuel stop is Loves. They give you a Freymiller card. It looks like a credit. I think they put like $300 a week on it. Making it easy for cash advances.
The fleet is nice. Peterbilts and Kenworths. Mix of 8 speeds and automatics.

I know curiosity killed the cat but I'm just wondering what made Sandman turn in his keys.

I really like the convenience of drop yards at Schneider. I'm rarely waiting for loads. If you can hit an operating center you showers and laundry too. Training is quick but the pay is suspect.

I spoke to Sandman just before he left. He said another company made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

Reefer coast-to-coast sounds pretty awesome to me, too. I especially like that they go to CA quite a bit, being that I grew up in Long Beach. I hope that they are willing to work with me and my background. I put in the app yesterday and will be calling them later today.
