i have teamed with my wife for both werner and schneider....it is all pretty much basically the same thing just schneider is a little more uptight on there rules ie. no talkin on phone regardless if you are driving or you team mate and werner will let you....also another diff is werner will let you have a pet with you where schneider wont.....orientation at werner was 4 days for werner and just drove around the block for the road test...schneider makes you do 3 days orientation if your experienced or 3 weeks if you are not....the first week is classwork and hand on at the range 2nd week you go out with a TE for 5-6 days and then you go back to the oc for like 3-4 days to finish up your training....also werner doesnt really have a pre work physical test just DOT medical card review and schneider has it....i believe werner and schneider are both about the same and are both fair to drive for. its just all in what you want out of a company....but i left schneider twice and am currently set to go back monday if that tells you anything...ALSO what i love about schneider is they have workflow which in my opinion is a whole hell lot better than trying to learn macros for your work which you will eventually memorize if you go to werner....also a nothing thing about werner is they give you a choice of truck make/model auto/manual as long as it is at the terminal you are at and it is avail.....my experience schnieder pretty much just picks a random truck for you....werner phone support is WAAAAYYY better at length of time waiting for the call to get ansewered vs schneider but that is all the pros and cons i can think of sorry so long

No need to apologize, Im sure many members will find it all very helpful. The last thing about people picking up the phone is very true.

The CEO sat down the workers who were leaving people on hold, and made them listen to nothing but silence for minutes at a time. Just to get the feel of how it was to be treated that way. The workers got the point. Service improved.

Okay put down the Blue weenie. I'm not putting your precious company down. I gave my opinion. Also, just because they don't pre load at any customer you deal with doesn't mean they don't at others.

Thanks for these in depth answers! Kind of information I was looking for.
Hard to know when recruiters are very vague on things.Think we all know that.

I decided on Werner earlier today and like others have said,
just need to get started and get on with it. So thank you all.

Neither, but if I absolutely had to choose one, go with Schneider

Ok werner it is, everyone tells me or I've read that dollar general or any dedicated account is where you'll make the most money as well as teams driving. I can't say anything bad about werner cause I've never worked there. But keep in mind this is a lifestyle, not just a job. So make the best of it. Drive safe, give 100% and ignore the naysayers. There will be plenty of them. Good luck and give us an update sometime.
