Its a good sign that it mattered to you, but also shows how quickly 1 wrong move can have serious consequences. This job has huge risks.

Well good job not hitting anyone. You care, so you'll always be getting better. The industry needs more people like you.

Just slow it down and coast toward stale green lights. Leave ####ING ACRES between you and the car in front of you. Who cares? Let them be idiots way up there, far away from you. Lol

You know what you did wrong. You're a better driver now. So, you get better & quit?

Puts you a little more on your toe's. You'll be safer today than you were yesterday.

Apply this scare to everything else you do in trucking & you'll be one of the better one's out here.

Right now, I'd rather drive beside you than some of the drivers out there.

You're fine driver, just use some common sense.

Use the safety tips you learned but have been putting off or ignoring till now & you'll be a better driver for it.

Good luck driver. Be safe.

When I'm on a four lane with signals and a 55 mph speed limit, when I approach a signal, I get out off it and slow to about 45. When I reach the point where I would no longer try to stop, I get back into it. That's the only timing you can use.

Hide a external speaker outside the truck; one that for outside weather. Record gunshots and and play them through the speaker.
Some drivers do the same with those train horns.

That's what I do as well, and in this instance the car mashed the brakes after the "commitment point" had been passed.

It's a discussion on the best course of action to take when the vehicle you're following has good cause to brake check you. In this case it was a yellow light, but the situation can happen due to wildlife, pedestrians, whatever.
