I ran for Serber LLC (Sergio) and I still haven't got paid for loads I ran back in April. He has completely stopped answering my phone calls and text messages and I'm not the only one. There's a few of us in the same boat. At first he was nice and made promises to pay and September it is and still, NOTHING! He put me in a big bind as I paid all of my expenses out of pocket. He is a contractor with Sandbox logistics out of Midland and he has been getting away with this for a very long time. I would steer away from this company if you can seriously avoid it DO SO!
SERBER LLC PLAINVIEW TX (ODESSA)

Get a lawyer, stat!
On a side note, I like to think I’d much prefer ice cream over serber. Who needs all that sugar?Lonesome Thanks this. -
Seems like there are 3 main geographical areas where shady/dishonest companies like this thrive:
Chicagoland
Florida

Man, I talked to a few lawyers and collection agencies. My best bet at this point is going after his bond..apparently, he was leasing people on but was a broker. He went "Inactive" last week (my luck lol). So if he's out of business then crap, gotta move FAST!
LOL ice cream is the only way!Frank Speak Thanks this. -
Was this a 1099 job? The only reason I ask is, that seems to be a common theme with these types of thieves.
If they are paying on 1099, they are already avoiding paying something so the next logical step is avoid paying you. -
Makes sense brother, yes 1099. I'm talking to their bond today so hoping to get something...at least SOMETHING resolved.

Good luck. It won't be an easy road.

Yes, move fast. If he’s setup as a corporation and closes the corporation legally, you’re going to likely lose out. I emphasize “legally” because if he just shuts down without informing the local, state and feds, then you can still go after him.
If he shuts down the business legally and your contract is with the business, then you’re hosed because the other party no longer exists.jayjay12 Thanks this. -
Yeah I was told time is of the ESSENCE right now. I had no idea about the legality of it, thanks for that info!Frank Speak Thanks this.
