Imagine it was some hillbilly like me, would you be having the same attitude or would be saying thing like it'd help a lot if his parents weren't brother and sister and he'd gone to school beyond 8th grade? I'm pretty sure I know the answer and I'm also pretty sure you're going to deny it.

So the driver learned something and appeared to be grateful for the help. What's the big deal. He is a new driver. Heck I have old timers teaching me new stuff all the time...and I'm not a rookie.

This driver ranks about mid pack compared to many from areas like Brampton Mississauga and surrey .. least he cares or knows eneough to know his weight we’re wrong .. I loaded in brantford and noticed guy next to me had loose wheel nuts judging by his indicators he had so I told him and he said he would get it fixed next week it was a Monday . I called his company and they said it’s all fine he just had new tires put on the day before .. so I called opp and they really didn’t care . So it was MOT the next call and they had a guy waiting outside gate when I left.. PS I turned one but using the indicator to try and show driver it was loose

Helped? I guess but I stopped watching after the “documentary producer” had to interject “do you have a CDL?” I have no use for non-trained drivers or butt-hole drivers.

had a hostler in LaGrange Georgia that couldn't understand why he couldn't hook to a trailer and kept high hooking it. I got out and showed him how to raise his fifth wheel.......simple stuff, but if you've never done it or seen it, it's confusing.
He was my age, by the way (58). Just on his second career or a new job that he needed really bad and was thankful to get.
Guys, look......sometimes you have to try to see what they see, not what you see. That young man looked as happy as could be to be doing what he was doing. Maybe his first and best shot at $500 a week.
    It never hurts to help.
That said, some of these folks need to spend a little more time training people. This guy didn't have a clue. And his next intersection that requires a very large button hook, he's gonna be screwed.

Good example and a good outlook on it.

I’m a bit uppity by nature and I have to fight that - and get out and help drivers that I can, especially ones that ask.

It’s too easy to go through the day as an experienced driver, scoffing at all the violations and lack of experience you see.

“You’re ruining it for the rest of us!”

If we don’t start trying to train/help the untrained, it’ll just get worse.
