Follow up on that complaint. That is very disturbing that the mechanics would rifle through your personal belonging and raid your food. There is no excuse for that, not even the signs on the shop floor that read 'Not responsible for missing items in your truck'.

I agree. I know all the shops have the signs posted that says " Not responsible for missing items", but that sign does not give them carte blanche permission to invade your privacy and rifle thru your stuff and eat your food. That is just wrong on so many levels. I've been told several times that I do not on this truck, Swift owns it. I know that. I do not argue that point. In Wyldfyres case, Swift may own the truck, but THEY DO NOT OWN THE PRIVATE PROPERTY CONTAINED WITHIN THAT BELONGS TO THE DRIVER. They have permission to get in the truck to move the vehicle and to perform the necessary repairs. If moving private property is necessary to perform those repairs than fine, that is what they have to do. But there is no excuse for what these people did.
And the same in my case. Swift may own the truck, but that does not mean the mechanics can joyride the truck around the lot, race it into the shop, or do halfazzz repairs. I had a supervisor tell me it's not my truck and I don't have a right to complain about how they treat it. It may not be my truck, but I live in the darn thing and I don't want some moron tearing it up! There is just no respect for property, whether it belongs to the driver or it belongs to Swift. If it ain't yours, respect it. I tried to ask how they would feel if they took their personal vehicle into a shop and it was treated the same way. His reply was this isn't your truck, it belongs to Swift. AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH! They will never get it. -
I've seen mechanics sleeping in drivers trucks. Once, I was sleeping in my truck in Indy at the shop, another truck was parked next to me and the driver was somewhere off (motel or hometime?) and the mechanic woke me up with his yelling on the CB from that truck. I layed there and listened to this fool trying to harrass drivers at Buds about a 1/4 mile from the terminal. (In Indy).

It might be time to cook up a bunch of exlax brownies and stash them in the fridge for the mechanics.

I draw the line when I see a shop dude running around with my underwear over his head.

Spoke with my GF's son. Said regen problems need to go to the dealers for warranty purposes.
-
Rug, any chance you can get more info on the regen than that? You can't just take the truck into the shop and tell them that it has a regen problem and needs to go to the dealer for a warranty issue.
-
Nope, he actually doesn't have much experience with them. He is actually a heavy equipment tech. He just went where the job was close to home. Wish I could get you more info. Seriously might want to try Moparts!
Possibly the reason Swift doesn't want to send you to the dealer is they can charge FL for their work if under warranty.
