Now that is straight idiot thinking. Literally almost got me killed in Va a few years back I had only one out. This fool pulls out we are three lanes running coming down a hill FedEx doubles right next to me cars in the far left & I'm in slow lane. I had to use the same shoulder to pass him or I more likely would not be typing right now. I only had a few seconds to make a decision. Dumb & straight Dumb
since when did the shoulder become a rest area?

For new drivers get up to speed on the shoulder or use the exit/on ramp to get up to speed, stop being dumb, don't pull out immediately in front of coming traffic....

So do you stop for every driver on the shoulder to offer assistance? I highly doubt it. Stop blowing smokencmickey Thanks this.

No triangles or activity around the truck I don't move over for them anymore.

I love it when they park 2/3rds of the way down an onramp taking up half of the ramp lane.

Yeah, I had this one yesterday. I-90W Pennsylvania Rest Area right after you leave NY. I'm rolling down the ramp accelerating but trucks are in both lanes one passing the other, I would have just kept rolling down the ramp except some buffoon decided that a totally empty rest area parking lot was too much to have to deal with so he just parked all the way down at the end of lane forcing me to slow down for traffic and then have to enter the interstate at 25mph instead of merging down there.
Of course I gave him a good 5 seconds of airhorn as I rolled past so hopefully he was trying to take a nap.RockinChair, nredfor88, Muddydog79 and 2 others Thank this. -
Not that I disagree with you, but their safety advises the exact opposite for various reasons, including debris, soft shoulder roll-overs, and there are states that'll ticket you if they think you're running the shoulder, though I've never met amyone ticketed for it.Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Since the inception of trucking in the early 20th century

Note to the idiots who dont move over for trucks on the shoulder with flashing lights, I throw a handful of drywall screws down on that lane just because you dont move over. Enjoy your time off at the shop
