Need a new cigarette lighter plug cord for my Sirius radio. It rubbed itself in half and no longer supplies power to the radio which I ham siriusly missing. Getting real sick of the same old predictable CD's and hunt and peck for FM radio music stations.
What is the purpose on God's green earth for DJ's again???Oh yeah to interrupt great music with boring pithy 'must hear my tripe" bullsnit.

Anyway looking for ideas where to find accessories like that to keep my unit alive. I went into a TA and bought a new radio but when I got to the truck the tuner was missing *yes the box had been previously opened, should have known better than to buy it) anyway returned it . I like my radio because it came with a remote control and can rewind / fast forward up to an hour of contrent.

Can you splice the wires back together? Maybe let a cb shop do it for you

    I have a old Sportster 3 model.
Power cord shorted out inside and not repairable.
    I couldn't find a new cord anywhere..
One of our other drivers said he had a bunch of old sattelite radio stuff at the house.
He had a cord to fit and I was back in the tunes.

What's the model # of the unit as they have different styles.

I have an extra but I don't know if it'll fit.

i've looked at the replacement cords and what not. seems almost cheaper to buy a new radio. specially when you find em on sale. usually at the mom and pop truckstops.

my last radio was rewind for $29.99.

    heaven't seen the rewinds lately.

i'd join the wire back together. hopefully they're colored so the right polarity can be back together,

I think that's what mine is. I bought it around 2007. Give me a day to find it. It's just sitting in a box somewhere. :)

TSSRadio has all the accessories you need. Check them out. Not real happy with SiriusXM. I have the Lynx, had it since the first week it came out. This is my third and final one, looking into the Onyxplus. This stupid radio will not work when it's dark out. I kid you not. It will not boot up when it's dark.

Call Sirius customer support and tell them that your radio broke and you want to cancel your subscription. They will offer to send you a new radio for free. They make all their money on monthly subscriptions and will replace radios to not lose you as a customer.
