I hope the the TTF system upgrade works better than my Android updates to my various smartphones over the past 5 years...every phone upgrade has caused more problems than it solved and has made me very uneasy when I even hear a rumor about upgrades...hope it all works out...I'd miss having a place to vent and rant about random things I have in common with so many strangers.

Not saying that there won't be a few hiccups to overcome in the beginning, but from my playing around with the new software this is going to be a good thing, there will be a bit of a learning curve for all of us, but I think the new site will be more user friendly.

Most of the problem with huge tech companies is there using their own customers to beta test their new software. They should extensively test before release, but this costs them profits. Easier for them to release buggy software, and sit back and wait for the bug reports to start rolling in.

If you want to play around with the new software there is a demo here. I really like how it handles picture uploads. You get the picture in the message box instead of file names or code.

I'm part of another forum that uses the Xenforo SW, don't post there a lot.
    But doesn't seem too bad.

The current plan is that it will likely be down for most of the day Saturday. After it gets back up, there will be a period of bug fixes that we'll have to endure. The site will be working, just not working perfectly. Hopefully, just a couple of days of that to get everything running smoothly. Just be patient and hang with us, please. Once it's behind us, you'll all agree that it was well-worth it.
