When drug companies have reps making big money to just drive around to doctors offices giving out free samples anyone with common sense would know theyres something more going on. If you have a drug that works it will sell itself....

Most of my health care is from the VA. Because of this my providers as far as I know are not getting kickbacks. I did ask one of my Physicians about this and they said if a VA provider is caught they could lose their job and might lose their medical license altogether. 100% of my prescriptions are mailed to me. I just hear horror stories all the time about how crooked things are in the healthcare industry and it is based on a bad business model. I am too lazy to research it, but a 90-day supply of a drug called Jardiance for someone with no insurance is around $1800. Somebody is paying for it even if you have insurance! This is the line the drug reps have with the Physicians. I take this medication and get mine from the VA. Same thing when it comes to insulins like Novolog and Lantus. While I am a free market person there has to be some way to stop this BS. I know I am morphing the thread but the thing is all this OSA thing is related. When someone such as myself questions all of this I get a "what you got against being safe?" reply.

As I was finishing that comment I remembered a guy that left Orientation a few weeks ago. He just got up collected all his things and walked out. What happened was they all did the drug testing and afterward were going to take a physical. He asked where were the physicals being done. Concentra was the reply. He said not a chance in hell and walked out. About a week later was driving for another carrier with a new 2-year physical in hand and was happy. There are other places to work that will treat you right. Drivers, don't put up with that Concentra-type crap!

0.7 is definitely not needing any CPAP. Anything less the then 5.0 is normal for everyone. Not sure how any doctor could claim they need CPAP with that low number.

Not a #### thing is stopping people.

Which is why it sounds like the rip off artists have made the test so rigged, that the healthiest people on earth cannot pass it.
The whole thing is a pathetic joke, just to rip off hard working people.

I went to a company mind you I'm the same size as I was over two years ago and they recommended me for a sleep study 3 month temporary medical card. I refuse to do it but now I have to go to another doctor. I don't know if I should wait and lose 10 ,20 lb or go right to a different medical examiner and try to get my medical card back at least the one year obviously. If I don't do it within the next 3 months they're going to screw my license up any advice?

Yes to both. Well probably not the Dr. office, but the DME supplier. Or a website. Or a program on your computer and print it yourself.
It all depends on which company and model of the CPAP.

You can get it two ways. The CPAP has SD memory card you can pop out and take it to the DME place you got it from. They can print out a report to take to your DOT doctor.

Most CPAP or the big name one's have an app you can download to your phone. You pair phone to your CPAP. The CPAP has Cell phone data built in. It will upload you usage every day. The App on your phone can make compliance report. You can see it on the app and then you will have to print it out or email or fax it to DOT doctor. My doctor would only take a fax because of HIPAA laws. I could show him the report on my cell phone app but he wanted a paper copy to put in file.

My CPAP is 7 years old now and it only had 3G cell phone data. So I am now stuck using the SD card because they just turned off 3G phone data on cell phone towers. So make sure you new CPAP has LTE data and Bluetooth would be best.
