Sleeping on the shoulder on exit

    I don't use on and off ramps because I do not believe them to be a safe place to park, your putting others in jeopardy needlessly because your to lazy to plan your day.

    Florida is really good about this. All of the major interstates have a rest area every 40 to 60 miles apart. A lot of them have 24-hour security. And they are very nice and quiet.

    I agree with everybody's comments for the most part. I've been in Hairy situations with sleep and driving a truck. Biggest thing I learned is PLAN, PLAN, PLAN, have a backup plan where you will be when it's time to hit the rest break or off duty on your ELD. Live and learn but never give up.

    Absolutely, but he probably was not taught properly or doesn't have enough experience yet.

    Someone who uses ramps as a rest stop gets what they deserve, people have been sued and thrown in jail for this same thing a car drive up doesn't see the truck on the ramp stopped hits the back and dies. Those ramps are for getting on and off a highway.
