How much weight can you move from trailer axles if you slide your 5th wheel?
I have truck with permanently mounted 5th wheel so just wondering how much weight you can usually move with sliding 5th wheel.

Sliding fifth wheel moves weight between the steers and the drives.

Wouldn't sliding it forward towards cab move at least 200lbs from trailer axle?

And who says people aren’t getting their money’s worth in CDL school and apprentice training? ... and high school physics.

Moving the 5th wheel should transfer zero weight from the trailer. All you're doing is changing the point where weight transfers to the tractor (which changes the weight ratio between drives and steer). Unless you were to physically move the location of the kingpin on the trailer frame, no weight will shift from trailer to tractor.

I say a guy with a 780 move the fifth wheel on get legal on the trailer, I told him I didn't think so but he said yes on the 780 it does work, I watch him do it and yes it does work, we was at the Miller Coors in tx, we then went to the qt on I was left with my mouth closed,
