For us, the blue wire powers the lift axle from the cab.
Often times the blue wire powers the abs on newer trailers.
Our live bottom trailer has (2) seven prong plugs. One is the normal trailer plug and the other is to operate the tailgate, tailgate lock and the electric tarp.ready2truck Thanks this. -
I pull a utility reefer and you go back and push the button to release the pins than you put a quarter on the bracket between the button and the outside of the bracket and when you release your brakes the quarter will hold the button in and you can roll and slide your tandems with the johnny bar. Than you set your trailer valve walk back and take your quarter out of there and go back and release the trailer brake and the pins pop in and your on your way.

that way you can release the trailer brakes by pushing the red button in on the dash and the quarter holds the button in on the traileer so that you can roll forward or back and slide your tandems by pulling down on the trailer lever and slideing your tandems without useing your clutch as sometimes the tandems won't move or your on ice and you spin trying to move the tandems.ready2truck Thanks this.
