This us what i always used to figure where tandems needed to be. (See link to android app store below) It was never off more than 100 pounds once I set it all up. Took the guess work clean out of it.

Don't they have stop bars anymore on sliders? I haven't pulled on since I sold my reefer in 94, but they used to have a bar that went through both rails that you could place where you wanted to stop and nudge up against it.D.Tibbitt, rockeee, IH Truck Guy and 2 others Thank this.

They do... at the ends of the subframe.
What @Judge is talking about on the other hand is something to help stop the tandem where you think it needs to be, hence the portable pins.
