You're still hirable. Where is your location; we need to know the hiring area you live in.

    Gently Thanks this.

The drifting thing is a bad habit that was picked up when driving a car. Motorists in cars SAW at the steeringwheel. Bad habit. But notice, when a car comes to pass you, they drift towards the fog line, and then over correct, and drift towards the zipper, usually when they get midpoint of your trailer. Scottie shows in his video, an example of what the OSOW guys call "threading the needle".

Looks like a 14 wide he's passing. Scottie puts the left front steer on the yellow fog line and stays there, full control. Any further, and the left of the truck would have dropped off the top pavement. This is where the rookies would panic, because it feels like the whole truck shifted left (which it does...some of you rotten people do this purposely to get tailgaters to back way off), and he yanks the wheel right. Any time you yank, you're going to over correct. Scottie rides the fog line across the bridge. Full control, 100%, good job Scottie.

Excellent driving by that wide load, because in order for him to thread the needle, he has to line his truck up a completely different way than Scottie to thread the needle. You really have to know your job and your rig and your load to do that.

Anyways, rookies...that's something that you want to practice. That kind of lane control. You can tell the rookies from the veterans because the rookies do the Rookie Wiggle in tight quarters.

We have 48 state authority.... I have been all over the place, up to Maine, down to Florida, Washington state, Illinois, Wisconsin, the only restriction they put on us is the Dakotas and Montana. Why do you ask?

Thank you TripleSix it means a lot to be recognized for a good job by one's peers.

That's one hell of a drift of you overcorrected like that.

    Wyoming isn't that bad.

No not panic. When I went to pass the other truck the wind pushed the truck harder to the left than I anticipated the other truck was pushed over also. I corrected faster and sharper than the other truck I was also on the brake and slowing down by the time I hit the truck I was almost behind him, my right front tire hit his ICC bar. I was fully aware of what was happened and had to move to the right or go into the median and maybe roll over.

Well, I think that's the problem...it does kind of sound like a panic issue, bc you're not suppose to correct "faster and sharper".

Everything is suppose to be done in a smooth, controlled fashion...even correcting when you get pushed by some wind.

You need to have a very light, almost too loose of a grip on the wheel, and everything is to be done smoothly...not faster or sharper.

    Good luck to you, though.
