Ok, this is getting rediculous, another load, another temp mismatch, and this one is the biggest yet. Load info says -10 s/s (and an additional message that said precool to -15° prior to checking in). I get to the guard shack and he says, based on my pu number, the load is a chilled load, temp should be 35° continuous. That's a big difference. Thankfully it was 97° outside, so I changed the setpoint and opened a door. Not sure where our people get their info, or where the info is getting mixed up, but geez.

I had a load once, cant remember the set point, but get to the shipper and its a dry load, they don't even do any temp control freight. This was like 10pm, night shift was arguing with me that it should be temp control and we haul refrigerated loads out of there all the time. The dock doors were like fabric with freaking screens at the top, in Arkansas. I just stopped responding and waited for day shift to get in.Friend, Knucklehead and hope not dumb twucker Thank this.

That would reason as to why it was what it was…99.99% of the time we pu there it’s ice cream…now with that said cs should have put that into the system correctly..im thinking they just assumed frozen and they shouldn’t do that…this is 100% on the cs who did that..hope not dumb twucker Thanks this.

It's close, but no cigar. I have 36k lbs of sour cream.
Managed to get loaded and make it to the T/A across from the OR POE/scale before they opened. Now tomorrow is the tricky part. The delivery customer is in Clackamas (off the 205 Portland bypass). I have a 7 am appointment, and they don't allow you to arrive more than 30 min early. And the closest place to park tonight is Troutsdale. So it's give yourself a bunch of morning rush hour travel time and arrive early if traffic isn't bad, or don't allow as much extra time and risk being late. I think I'll risk being too early.Last edited: Jul 29, 2025

Yeah, but a 30 min window in a populated area like Portland makes it interesting. It's like playing idiot roulette (sorta like Russian roulette, without a gun)Friend, 201773, Speed_Drums and 7 others Thank this.

We have a shipper like that in Ontario, CA. Pretty nice folks and usually really fast but it’s a small place so they don’t want you there more than 30 minutes early which can be exciting working through SoCal traffic.Friend, D.Tibbitt, hope not dumb twucker and 4 others Thank this.
