Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

What's crazy about these restrictions is that PennDOT always jumps the gun and cuts off traffic hours too soon. I am lust outside the town of Hawley (as on your map) and they have Tier 4 all CMV restrictions in place, but this is a live picture from 4:20 PM today showing my private road with almost no accumulation. The highways are still bare, yet let's shut down all truck traffic. I'm not saying that it won't get worse later tonight, but let the trucks keep rolling until it does start to get bad.

 

I think it comes from them sick of picking up massive pileups due to idiots who can’t properly drive to conditions.. Wyoming has gotten to that point as well…I really can’t blame them either since it’s proactive to stupidity..

 

Yeah, we see it year after year, drivers dont know when to call it, then end up on the news in a hundred vehicle pile up.

Talking about "i do it all the time, i don't know what happened"

 

My daughter lives in California, MD. near Lexington Park and it is rain mixed with wet snow possibly 3-4" by tomorrow. My brother is in Bordentown, NJ and they are predicting 16-18" there and he has a mobile home at Cape May, NJ and they are expecting close to 2' along the coast. Better that we are in Summerfield, Fl and only got 1/2" rain this AM and the temps go down to lows about 30* Monday and Tuesday nights then back to 80* on Wednesday. That's why I do not miss the Northeast.
