Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

This is a Tyson load and they set the appointments and communicate with the customer. I have had them run behind at the plant getting the load ready, and requested a later delivery from Lincoln and been denied. Shaffer will relay the load on another truck to keep it moving but won't go to Tyson to get it rescheduled unless it's a situation like I am in with weather or a breakdown. Calling the customer won't do any good on a Tyson load, it would be wasted cell time.

 

I just found out that the company implemented a mandatory shutdown up here for this storm. When I messaged dispatch yesterday about me shutting down here in NY, I got what appeared to be a canned truck specific "we have noted your shutdown due to weather....." message. This morning (now that it has almost stopped snowing here) they sent me a fleet wide mandatory company shutdown for trucks up here and my asset mismanager said that they can't reschedule until that shutdown is lifted. I might be changing my address to this T/A, I might be here a while.

 

Not to change the weather subject, but, did anyone watch the weekly update this week with Jr. as the presenter? Is it me or can anyone else see the conseite in his facial expressions...and I wonder if things are so bad financially for him that the future leader of this corporation can't even afford a hair comb...it looks like he had a bad case of pillow head.
