I had the good fortune of sleeping next to Schaffer truck lastnight, everytime that optii-idle would start up it would blow the horn twice. Whoever came up with that should be drawn and quartered.

Somebody posted on here that was only supposed to happen with the KW's when the door was opened and the opti-idle was on.

It was a Kw, but it did all freaking night long. Pure inconsiderate stupidity

Just have to disconnect the power to the horn before going to sleep. /s

On that note, the ones who came up with that idea never driven or have to sleep in/near a semi so they don't care if it bothers others.

Also SSB, it might just be that your a/m doesn't like to deal with you anymore. Atleast on my end, all msg receive a response or a phone call within 30 min of sending it.

Still waiting on the honeymoon phase to end to see if I get a dip in miles or if it stays constant. Today was a first for me to actual burn 600+ miles in a single drive. Made it from Freeport to Amarillo in one go. Just a bit over 480 miles to Denvor to deliver these bananas but was told it going to be a Thursday delivery instead of Wednesday, so will have a free day. Wonder if I can just show up and see if they will take the bananas a whole day early but probably no luck.

The honeymoon is definitely over between me and my A/M, but if he thinks not responding to me is the way to deal with me, I have news for him...2 can play at that game, and I am gooooood at ignoring people, and in an obvious way...plus, he hasn't seen my pissed off bad mood side, he has only seen the mildly annoyed side. If I remember correctly, Tonn has a picture of me on a dart board somewhere in high command...if it comes down to it, I'll give him a call and have a heart2heart chat.

When I was in wilmer, I almost thought I saw you at the terminal. A shaffer driver was on the phone putting his 2 weeks in, and I don't know what was said on the other end but the guy started cussing his a/m out. Was quite funny to watch.

I imagine this will be how it goes when you leave. Just instead of 2 weeks, it will be you with a cleaned out truck telling your a/m why you won't be picking up that next load.

The door/parking brake sensor on all the new internationals and KWs we've gotten are wonky. The horn goes when it feels like, no apparent rhyme or reason.

If I had one that does that, there would be a double switch wired into it, at night flip it to night mode and a light would blink under the dash (in case it had to have some sort of voltage drop thinking a warning beeper was going off), during the day, put it in normal mode in case you get a DOT inspection and they want to hear your horn.

Picked up about 3 blocks from Poly this evening. 21:00 appointment, at the door by 20:15...pulling out the gate at 20:55...this is how things should go more often and I wouldn't be nearly as irritable.
