If I ever get use to it again...keep reaching up and twisting the jake brake lever trying to put it in gear...not sure why that became a habit so quick, I've only driven an auto Junkliner for 10 months.

The ELD on Peoplenet in this truck is wonky...it keeps coming up with trip numbers that aren't mine (older trip numbers)...plus it randomly adds in trailer numbers that don't exist...it put an 893### on my logs two days ago.(we don't have trailer numbers that high, we're only up to 840###) I deleted it on the unit and online...then it came back after I picked up this load yesterday morning. I had a Peoplenet unit at Moore that would randomly do that. I never did figure out why, but it eventually stopped. Hopefully this one will too.

Been a while since I did this kind of load...take my empty from Coldwater to Kalamazoo-zoo-zoo...drop it, then bobtail to the Utility plant between Wytheville and Kingsport to pickup a new trailer...675 total miles. And I didn't question it, because

Turns out I will be tcalling this load in Riverside at a drop yard. Customer moved del appt to Monday from Saturday so no need to sit for 2 days. Sad thing is this drop yard doesn't allow over night parking so will be looking for a trailer as well as a place to park in the middle of the night.

And it gets better. As I am bobtailing around Columbus, I get a message asking if I could help. They had 2 reefers about to run out of fuel, and couldn't get anyone on the yard to help. They paid me $30/trailer to pull them up to the Pilot and fuel them up. Then, to my surprise, a preplan. Pick up at Morse road going to IA for Monday. Thinking that they were pulling me off the new trailer adventure, I was ok with it, but, figured I had better ask just to be sure. My A/M checked, and no, I am still supposed to pick up a new trailer in VA, then deadhead 310 miles back to Columbus to pick up my load to Iowa.
. Almost 1000 empty miles. My A/M said they are deadheading people all over the place. They had him send one of his drivers from Phoenix all the way to SLC, empty, because they weren't gonna book any more freight this week out of Phoenix, and weren't gonna make him sit all weekend. It's their money, so we just get to sightsee...how can one complain?
Oh, and my check engine light disappeared sometime overnight. So, it's one of those problems that the computer gets a misread on a sensor, then it takes a bunch of good sensor readings before it clearsLonesome, Speed_Drums, Bumper and 6 others Thank this. -
