Crete answer to repairing truck..is sending you to recover another truck..after one day of breakdown...even with over 5,000 trucks in fleet...no company shops are open 24 / 7 ...most shops are woefully understaffed...because mechanics wages at Crete..are below the other shops in the area...head of maintenance Winston...has very little mechanical background and it shows...only reason he has the job is nepotism... his daddy Tonn is CEO of company
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

They will message you after a certain amount of time after your 10 is complete. Some say it is automated, but if that were the case, it would do it consistently. I will go weeks without seeing it, even when taking longer than 10-12 hours (this last Monday, I shut down by 13:00, and didn't leave until 08:00 yesterday because of my proximity to my customer, a need to find parking before the closest truck stop filled up, and a 10 am delivery appointment at a customer with no parking). I got no message. But I have been 11 hours into a 34, that I told them I was taking, and got beeped. And that happens for both dry and refrigerated...not sure about Hunt.Ralph4159, baha, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

And the short tolerance for beakdown time, and the extending the mileage between services got worse when he started running that part of the company. Another extended family member hellbent on ruining a company Mr A worked hard rebuilding. When Mr. A passed away, he had a lot of respected people, including Nebraska's member(s) of congress attending his service...if and when Tonn passes, how many would attend his service? My guess is somewhere around 0.Lonesome Thanks this.

With this pay..no wonder Creffer can't keep mechanics
Lonesome Thanks this. -
In PA, McDonald's was starting burger flippers at $15/hr. How does Creaffer expect a mechanic to afford to pay bills AND buy/replace their own tools on that kind if money.RussianBearTruckeR and iraqralph43 Thank this.

I think your
While I think you're mostly right on this, I think it's a much a cover your ### situation. They can always say we told you. It seems like a waste to send most of them every time though. If nothing else, they should be able to not send it every time after you've been here for some time. I know I just delete them without looking most times, as I could probably recite them word for wordgentleroger and drvrtech77 Thank this. -

Was on 80 eb Ohio saw a dot (reefer outfit like shaffer) pull double 53's hope this isn't going to be the new norm of getting drivers to pull double loads at the same cpm...you need double/ triple endorsements but im feeling this is a way for the industry to move more but pay pretty much the same...hope I'm wrong
-
That's specific to the turnpike. Oh, NY, ok, KS, allow double 53' on the turnpike, some western states allow them on the interstate.Lonesome and RussianBearTruckeR Thank this.
