Got over 20 hours of detention this week and stuck at a wmt live unload presently with 40 other bobtails on the staging area in Indiana, is this an Easter week thing or what? Detention doesn't cut it and doesn't even come close to potential driving miles earned...

I had $300 of detention last week, on one load! First got sent to the wrong place, address on bols matched what dispatch sent me. Actual customer was 20 mi from address given. Got there a day late, was there 4 hrs, refused 2pallets of product that I had to wait until the following day to find out what to do with.
this week was great, at least with load/unload times. Even the customer I expected to be a problem got me in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Miles were meh though. If you're at the auburn Walmart, that's about right for them, last 2 times I been there, got in an hour later than my appointment. Usually there 4 or 5 hrs

Only at the network locations and except when you just fueled...I tried to turn the pump back on to fuel the reefer and it said I exceeded my daily limit. That's the 1st time that has happened for reefer fuel only.RussianBearTruckeR Thanks this.

Auburn is where I'm going, but only have around a half trailer. After my 8.5 hours at the seafood shipper in Brunswick, I am in no mood for another long stay at a customer. After all the delays, surprise appointment changes and hassles with the brain trust in High Command...this may very well be my last hometime as an Acklie driver, or as a truck driver for that matter. This company with all it's nannying b.s., it's equipment problems and shortages, and the increasing number of problem customers...I am mentally and emotionally drained and have entirely lost my love for driving. When I wake up in the morning and see I am in a sleeper and not in my bed at home, my initial response is "####, it wasn't a nightmare, I am a truck driver". In my almost 3 decades out here, I have never had any hatred for this job, until the last 3-4 months. Now the thought of early retirement is starting to sound appealing more every week.Itsbrokeagain, wulfman75, Ralph4159 and 5 others Thank this.

Creaffer micromanagement strikes again

But our trucks are so highly maintained, why would we ever need oil?

Hoping both my twic and hazmat will be ready when I get home for hometime. Been notified that they both were approved so just waiting on thr system to get them to me.
On another note had a bit of luck today. Had $5 in my wallet and decided to buy a scratch off. Got $20 from it and can finally retire

We have a washout account with The I-96 tank wash in Ionia, MI (exit 67). And it's 27 miles east of the Eggo bakery we pick up at in Grand Rapids. And they are the only one open on the weekend in this area that I have found.
As for my unload in Auburn, 3 1/4 hours for a 13 page multi-P/O load. Only problem was 160 missing boxes of grapes.RussianBearTruckeR, Lonesome, Geekonthestreet and 2 others Thank this. -
That’s the same exact one I have in my truck. Since my company has all volvos and with the way they are wired my safety director said they’ll only stay on for an hour after the truck is shut off.
