Master cylinder didn't do the trick. So, they're replacing the clutch pedal assembly. (Found out from one of their techs that the slave cylinder isn't inside on a manual like the one guy said, only the automated transmissions have an air pressure slave cylinder inside)...so I am back at the hotel another night...

I got 2 days last week, and then the Walmart run down to Pueblo and back. After I gave up on doing the Walmart dedicated, any breakdown pay stopped.Lonesome Thanks this.

This whole ordeal has me seriously considering total retirement from trucking even more than I already was. I have, for the most part, lost the drive to be out here.

I know the feeling. I got out of the shop today after 60 hours. Drove 8 hrs down here to Lithia Springs, Georgia and they're saying they can't get a new appointment til Sunday. 2 pallets here. With 3 more stops to go in Florida. I told my dispatcher it is unwise to let me sit here another 70+ hours waiting to unload 2 pallets.RussianBearTruckeR, jethro712, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

Well, I only got 1 day breakdown, and, then the #### fools paid me for that 1 Walmart load, that I finished on Saturday morning, on this weeks check instead of carrying it into this weeks miles like I expected so I would at least cover my health insurance costs. This is the thanks I get for getting this truck and the load to the Cheyenne yard and the truck to the dealer without being able to use the clutch and saving them a huge tow bill. This is the last time I sacrifice anything to save this company a dime.

Hopefully you aren’t stuck there through the holiday weekend.

Just checked with Deland. He floated the idea of getting me a car rental and getting me to a different permanent truck if this latest repair doesn't fix the issue. I checked Enterprise, there are 0 available one way rentals anywhere around, even as far down as Denver. I may be totally screwed thru the whole friggin weekend if this clutch pedal assembly doesn't fix my problem...and I honestly don't see how the clutch pedal assembly would cause the problem I am having. I may just see if I can talk them into letting me drive bobtail with the truck as it is to Lincoln. As long as there isn't any dead stopped traffic or the scale pulling me in, I could make it.
Bumper Thanks this. -
One way car rentals are a thing of the past. You can try Uhaul or Ryder for small truck or van one ways. That’s what I’ve used the past couple of years.Itsbrokeagain, RussianBearTruckeR, Lonesome and 1 other person Thank this.

I pretty much have a rental car 24/7. About a month ago instead of picking up a rental after my hometime I was asked to pickup a truck and bring it to Shelbyville. Once there my boss tried to get me a one way rental for my trip back home. None. So I have been in a regular rental from the Shelbyville KY Enterprise office ever since. I will be home for 13 days and the car is sitting in my driveway.
