The joys of otr! Delivery this morning went great, appt at 0900, leaving at 920. Get a washout and head to the shipper for a nice 1600mi run. Get here, oh the load was canceled due to not having product. Been sitting now for over an hour waiting to find out whats going on.

I hate doing deliveries at night since they rarely have freight picking up till the morning.

Current load delivers 8pm live Sunday in Maryland. Next load is just 50 miles away in New Jersey and doesn't pick up till 7am Monday.

Good chance of no parking at all in the area so will hope I can just park on the street outside the warehouse till they open.

Also that NJ load picks up 7am Monday and doesn't deliver till 9am Wednesday just 450 miles away... only think good is I'll get a reset but unless they find me another short run then it will be under 2000 miles for the week.

Worst part of trucking, going into a situation where parking is next to impossible.

There is parking at the Maryland Scalehouse on I95 around exit 94 northbound side. That has 24hr truck parking. Always parking there. I stay there regularly and haven’t ever been bothered. Never seen the lot more than 1/2 full. I stayed there last night and there was 3 other trucks there. I bet there are over 50 spots there.
I realize most truckers don’t want to park at a scalehouse. The one nice thing is once at the parking, you do not have to cross the scale when leaving.

Ended up just parking it in the ally. Load is a crete load and not a reefer. 5000 lbs of plastic bottles headed back to Columbus OH. Also had to say goodbye to getting a reset since load was moved over to 9am Tuesday delivery from Wednesday.

you need to talk to your AM and tell them to get you the miles or call upstairs, dont stand for that - We deserve guaranteed pay if we have HOS available & the logistical end of thing is fked - this shouldn't just be accepted as OH ITS TRUCKING ## that - they need to pay truckers on the job! Ive had my list of hourly, fuel/etc, private fleets...just in case miles aren't there... light a fire under their feet & get your deserved pay = too much time on a run not enough miles on it dont accept tell them you'd rather sit & get a 34 in & watch a good load mysterious appear... Unless its a preference to take it easy, nothing wrong with that at all - but drivers time on the job needs to be compensated period

I can speak from recent experience that speaking upstairs to the operations manager, Mimick is worthless so I was talking to the president of the company kutter… They don’t care, and I have a bunch of communications between myself and them via text message that back that up, they don’t care..

The only people they care about is the wallet size portraits of dead presidents they keep in their money clip.

Prefer the moon crater lot over having to actual pick up at the port for them bananas.

Last time I was there the street was 1 way due to construction so it was a pita to try and navigate a trailer both into and off of that lot.

On another note I suddenly have miles out the door this week.

    Pu 12/12 Del 12/13 - 536 mi
    Pu 12/13 Del 12/14 - 673 mi
    Pu 12/14 Del 12/15 - 639 mi

Currently at our Kansas terminal out of hours. That last run delivers to the Associated grocery warehouses up in Kenosha, WI.

Hopefully the freezing rain and snow mix hitting Minnesota area doesn't hurt Wisconsin too much when I make my delivery tomorrow.
