I'm still new so managing my hours is still a big headache for me. I just got done with my load now I am 271 miles from the DC to pick up my next load. So here's the math problem..
My delivery is 5 am the 13th, but I need to be at my first delivery 10 hours so i can reset and drive to the rest of the stores that day. From the DC to my first store is 7 hours away. So 271 miles to pick up my load, and 7 hour drive for my first store at 7pm the 12th.
This is a headache and am worried I wont be able to make it on time to my first store. I also need to weigh my load so there goes some time. Any help? Current time is 8pm just started my 10 hour reset 1 hour ago.
So I need help deciding about my next load

Advance to your next load, drop trailer to load and go sleep. Tomorrow when trailer is ready go on duty, hook trailer and drive to first drop. Take 10 hours and go on.

Man, I feel like a troglodyte. Last time I had to mess with this, it was on paper. No worrying about recap or 14 hour rule. I should've never made my first post here.

Man that is to much math for me . I dont even know where to start. Best thing to do driver, average it out at 50mph. That is a good honest and resonable number. If u can get there at 50mph with time to spare u should be good

Wait, today is the 11th. Appt is 13th, 271 miles.
But you are 7 hours away from first delivery right?
So you can start moving 10:00 and have 2 hours to play with. Show 15 or so minutes to unload and be full of fuel, Hit the SB, ease out of way, if your elog doesn’t hit drive line unless 5 mph or so, go to bed so, you’ll show you went to bed 5-515 pm
So 271 miles mt as 4.5 would be 60mph.
Grab an 8 hour SB and go to next load. And tell your load manager he’s a jerk.truckdriver31 Thanks this.
