This is the busiest time of year. So you can bank on winter time being 50% worse than it is now.

im not saying to run for cheap rates but if you cannot make it thru the winter - I'd be busting ### right now getting what you can on the market. Its not good but only gonna get worse. Just my opinion.

I easily got a lot better rates in winter than I am now.
However to do that I had to stay in the cold areas lol.
Minnesota flatbed was popping in winter..
Many drivers especially flatbed are scared of the cold.

Rates are never going to get better for like another 5 years.

That's exactly what my buddy did when Yellow took over Roadway. Everyone hoping for the big freight uptick from Yellow crashing (that ain't gonna happen) will see a lot of this, ex-Yellow drivers with some banked cash buying a cheap truck and becoming their own boss.

    2025 Q2.

    That’s my uninformed guess.

Patience is a virtue, & a steady drip of water will eventually wear a hole in the rock. Don’t grab the first thing you see if the feeling in your gut isn’t right….,

That’s about 2 quarters after they all get their trucks repossessed, and we get another bunch of yahoos in the White House.

So there was a boom after all the lock downs. Nothing good or bad lasts forever. What goes up, must come down and vice versa. Everything got messed up and out-of whack courtesy of the pandemic. Everything has gotta correct itself and it takes time for that to happen. Even as a company driver I'm feeling the heat. It's definitely slower than it has been over the years. Yes I'm moving, but I ain't knocking it out of the park.
