Just for reference.. I am in Columbia SC, where SEFL is headquartered. Top pay for P&D is $27/hour or so. The guy I talked to said they pay $160 a week for full health benefits. Not sure about linehaul.

By comparison, work for the YRC umbrella making $22/hour, OT after 8 and full company paid health benefits.

To be honest, it's a wash. We pay a bit more but we are running garbage equipment. SEFL runs a tight fleet of new trucks. You can be happy at work or be happy when you are not at work.

 

And Dayton Freight as well.

 

Sefl also interline with Oak harbor, central Arizona freight, midwest motor freight, Honolulu freight, lynden transport and XCF LTL.

 

That's a good way to look it, I never thought about it that way and I've been around for a minute LOL

 

Southeastern is also going to start paying overtime after 45 hours and linehaul got a raise of .03 cents putting them at .72 cents a mile.

 

Is this everywhere or just in your region? The no OT has always made me shy away from SEFL. I know they are always hiring out of their Suwanee, GA terminal

 

The ot is company wide.
