I'm new to the forum. I had the opportunity to graduate from high school and I even came real close to graduating from college. Doesn't matter why I didn't finish college. I just didn't.
What I've found, in the short time I've been reading this forum, is that you'd be well served to take a little extra time with posts chocked full of spelling and grammatical errors and focus on the message.
If I ignored posts that weren't "up to par" in grammer and spelling I would be a lot less educated about this industry.
I can spell and use acceptable grammer but what difference does it make if what I have to say "ain't worth a tinker's ####".

Spelling and the TTR
OK, I'll admit it, I seem to have a bit of lisdexia. And it seems more worser the faster hurrieder I try to get. Then sometimes the old brian just quiets werking all-together. Once in a while, my fingers get ahead of my brian when I be keyin' all this gud stuff in here.
As another poster said, I do try to go back and go over what I post, but I still miss a lot of stuff.

People really shouldn't be attacked. Sometimes I struggle through some posts, and at times even given up. But I can't condemn a person for it.

I took a Shakespeare class years ago. The teacher said that Shakespeare's personal philosophy was that one could speak any way they wanted to but should write to the very best of their ability. Though he was an incredible wordsmith for his time and all time, he loved the color of shall we say 'uneducated' speech. Most of the people of his time did not have schooling.
I am trying to say that if someone comes on here and writes to the very best of their ability and it still does not meet your standards, perhaps you should look at the log in your own eye.... -
The should indeed be attacked..and beaten...beaten hard about the head and shoulders. Some people on here are beyond the pale with their writing and should be called on it. A slip here and there? I can live with that, but being unable to express a simple thought? Remember when folks had a sense of shame?

You obviously don't have anyone in your family with dyslexia, do you? My husband and my son can work on something for hours that would take you ten minutes, and it would NEVER be grammatically correct, nor would the spelling be perfect. They put more time, more effort and more thought in what they are trying to write than any of us, and you are saying they should be ashamed and attacked?
Anyone with so little compassion should be ashamed and attacked and beaten down.Mastertech Thanks this. -
I think she's OK.........
I thought her father was a great guy !!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Some people put other people down, just so they can feel better about themselves.
teddy_bear6506 and Mastertech Thank this.
