100% of my post was true. I didn't make anything up just to make the company look bad they did that on their own. I just wanted people to know what really goes on when you get with this company. The way I see it they did me a favor because I'm now going to work for a better company. :biggrin_255:

"The website said you get 24 hours of Skid Plate training "

I think that is "skid pad training" might be why they were confused...lol

Sounds like a bad deal, all companies do listen to conversations between students during orientation and do drop people with a bad attitude. Its a pretty stressful training people and they want to make sure its a fit. I'm not defending them, just an industry thing.

If companies were more selective with who they hired (they may have to be someday), you would see alot fewer of these types of posts, and just maybe this industry's black-eye would lighten just a bit.

I watched a Squire truck almost jerk the trailer right out from the tandems when he was sliding them. I thought to myself "let it be the trainee, let it be the trainee". Then I saw the trainer get out and help direct him.

I would amagine they have a new trailers, so they should slide pretty easy? Or do they just use Knight equipment.

An out of school rookie asked me "How do you find your destination without GPS????" To me that is a jaw dropping question. Hell, GPS was not invented when I started driving. Directions and the road map is all it takes. See, when you take command of a 18 wheeler, You know where you are going before you leave. Some of the new driver are such panzies. No alcohol on the ten hr break, Yep, find another company that understands your needs. I hear Warner takes care of everything. They even check your oil and tires for you. remember the more they pay someone else to do your work, the less you get paid.
