The safety meeting was the same as last months meeting (from what I was told by the safety guy at the terminal). I just grabbed the new macro booklet and signed for it and was out.
There may be many terminal rats, but there are also some of us that are stuck at a terminal but aren't to negative. Yeah sure I'm somewhat negative, but I'm also positive as things could be worse for me. I'm just glad I'm getting a newer truck, no more 9400i for me.

The terminal dwellers are so negative its pathetic. Complaining about everything and how bad USA is yet they are here. I have no sympathy for these people. They are like cancer, spreading if not treated. I got into it, not really, with a driver this morning and told him straight how it is and he didn't like it to leave. This guy said such blatant lies, worse than the people post here. I wont put up with it and I make no bones about it.
The safety thing was the second round to scoop up everyone who missed the last time which I did. I got my truck serviced here today and made the day of it. Nothing wrong, truck was perfect. The shop did not have any motor oil. At least till 3pm. My truck was serviced by 0930 and I sat till 4pm till they put oil in it. I lost load I had, which was fine, gave it to a lady who has been waiting 3 days for a load. My FM paid me for the day so I will cruise outta here in the a.m. This is my last trip here for service......for sure. -
Miles are down......for lots of drivers. Not sure what's up with that. I've been running up and down I 10 for 2 weeks straight. I do like the south. 5 1/2 months and its amazing how things begin to reveal themselves to you......in spite of your best effort to seek out the positive.
I will not be gotten, like those who I watch fall by the wayside daily. -
I wish I was going along I-10 lol... This load has taken 3x longer to load/unload then it did to drive between the two places (~2 hours). I can hope for a good load after this but not going to hold my breath, lol!

Its not bad......its just so spotty. I will be goin home 7/8 having been out 5 weeks, I will sit down and figure where I am at and post it. One thing for sure, my fm is supportive and the more I talk to him the more he helps so maybe it's me?

Last night as I sat waiting to be loaded my fm calls me, from home. He saw that I delivered 18 hours early and received my next run. 200 miles, he advised me to run that as fast as I could and he would get me somehing else, before the phone hung up a load assignment came across, p/u in the same drop I deliver in in the morning 700 miles to Romulus MI. While we were on the phone he told me to p/u that load, give him an eta when I would get to MI on Saturday afternoon so he could preplan somehing today (friday) to keep me outta the weekend dispatch mess. I don't feel special, it just proves that talking to your boss works and makes me realize that he is paying attention to me.......even from home, which is kinda creepy, lol.

As the fourth of July holiday approaches I find myself wishing I could be home, yet I have reached the half way point of this journey with USA. Last year my view was alot different of what the future held, now it is much clearer. Second half coming up......and I have my game plan together and I'm ready........as I will ever be.
Do your homework......
