Schneider has a JC Penny dedicated out of Lakeland. They've had the account for 15 years. You can go home every night or stay in the truck four nights a week if you choose. You'll make more money there than at Knight. I know a few people on that account and its one of the few, of not the only, good steady accounts at Schneider.xlsdraw Thanks this.

Speaking of Schneider: any other Knight drivers/former's in the Phx area get a 'recruiting brochure' recently? They are opening a new term in Phx (Knight's home base) and looking for 400 experienced/inexperienced drivers to staff it!

New terminal in Phoenix? What happened to the one they had? Run out of room to cram more containers in?
-

Can anyone comment about running with the refer division out of the Phoenix terminal?

May be expanding from a glorified drop yard to a full-blown Swift-like terminal. Know where Swift, Knight, Werner are in W. Phx but dont remember Schneider location?

I've been out of trucking for 5+ years yet Schneider still has me on their list (altho never showed an interest in them!)...Knight has had some spies from other co's work there b4 to get access to drivers addresses etc. for recruiting ('stealing') drivers..

You replied to a message I sent out about Knight. How do I get to it to find your reply? Anybody know anything about Commercial Driving School in Lakewood, Wa. Are they worth the money? My Post 9-11 will pay for it. Do I want to give them my money or go to a truck company driving school?

Your previous question (post #98 ) was responded to here: http://www.thetruckersreport.com/tr...03135-started-with-knight-10.html#post3498173

BTW: CDL schools are all pretty much the same. Your VA will pay for it. You get just enuf training to get a CDL and then need to find a trucking co. that will train you for up to 3 mos b4 going out on your own. Think the closest Knight terminal to WA is Fairview, OR (Portland) where you can sign on as an inexperienced driver to receive training with Knight Squire following getting your CDL..Last edited: Aug 27, 2013

Thanks for the info. Do you all know anything about Swift or Gordon? I have read a lot of Posts. There is a lot of Co bashing. Is there really quite a few bad companies out there that will drive you into the ground that don't care about there driver's?
