Yeah, I’ve heard stories about Austin. I’m not looking forward to that!

For me, Houston was the worst of them all.....

At least Houston has loops. Austin has none. Best bet would be the 130 toll road but I'm sure it's getting clogged up by now.

We basically sailed through Dallas and Austin for the most part. I drove from W. Memphis to Franklin, Indiana. We spent the night at Franklin and got up the next morning and I drove from Franklin, IN. to just past Texarkana. We spent the night there, got up this morning and I drove from Texarkana to Marion, Tx where we are now. I’ll drive deliver tomorrow morning in Marion and head back to W. Memphis tomorrow morning sometime. This week I’ll have 2,268 miles under my belt. My trainer said I’m doing pretty good and I think he’s pretty comfortable with my driving.

In time I’ll be driving more hours. I’m sure not a slacker. I like running hard, getting up early, getting my pre-trip done right and getting on the road.

Ok, I was wrong. It wasn’t 2,268 miles. I asked my trainer and he said I drove like 1,800 miles this week. This morning we got up at 4:00 and made the delivery in Marion, Tx and drove back to within 40 minutes from W. Memphis. Seemed like there wasn’t much traffic in Dallas and we took the loop around Austin to avoid the city traffic. I’m tired from today. Only had 1 person in a small box truck give us the bird . We just sent that bird right back at him!:D

Yes we did. I remember Lockhart, Tx. Coming back I could see the Dallas skyline and seemed like I could see for 40 or 50 miles. It looked like a picture.

Not really. Some traffic but not bad. I saw the most traffic coming back through Austin and Dallas. Tight lanes going through Dallas between the two bridges because of the road construction. They had the road closed and routed traffic on the service roads. Seemed like the barriers were about 12’ apart. 1 lane and tight quarters.
