Glad to hear that they put you in a new truck. The drivers manual should be in it somewhere. Now go run your butt off and make that $$$

I done messed up! It’s 100% my fault. I ran my 70 hr clock down to nuttin. So, here I sit until tomorrow morning at whatever time I get a load.
Here’s where it gets bad- I was already on my 34 hr reset and I got a message for a mandatory video of 5 minutes. So, not knowing I watch it. Oh crap, got a call from my driver leader and asks me about it. I said, I thought it was mandatory and he informed me that if it was during my reset that I’d have to restart my 34. Oh carp! I’m changing my name to Murphy’s Law Thompson. Been this way since birth. If it can go wrong, it’ll go wrong while I’m doing it- Guaranteed! Lessons learned the hard way, it’s all I know.

That’s kinda ticky tack on your DL’s part. Lesson learned the hard way for sure.

Why would you have to start your reset over? No one is going to care or know if you watched it off duty.

Because there is a record of him doing "required training".

Schneider has lost a couple-ten lawsuits where they weren't at fault due to "falsified logs" - whether it's 'sneaking' the truck around a lot, doing the monthly trainings in the middle of a dot break, not logging fueling as on duty, etc.

They now have an automatic log checker that compares fueling events, load tasks, training, etc to a driver's log. Basically anything that they have a hard time stamp for.

It's annoying and dumb, but necessary.

    Cherokee....

Your 1st year or so....as a driver will suck -- in part at least, because of episodes like those posted above.

There's so much to learn....so much to get used to...and all too much of it is OJT.

Stick with it. After a while...it gets better.

    Been there....seen/done that.

technically any work related stuff is supposed to be on duty. Do we do it that way, well most dont. Now sounds like Schneider monitors it so you'll have to do it that way. Did you watch it on their tablet? Might get away with it on phone. However that's not a big deal just means you sit a bit more. Not like you tore of some guys bumper or something. ;)
