Starting at Schneider

The old GMC grain truck had a weird trans in her. Had to come out of 4 low into 5 low then 4 high and finally into 5 high.

 

Our neighbor growing up had an old grain truck, don’t remember the make… but it had a 5 & 4 in it. I didn’t like it much but it was better than hauling beans to the bin in a wheelbarrow! 20 forward gears and 4 in reverse. Like to drove me crazy as a kid.

 

I think I’ll pass!! I saw a guy on YouTube who had an old KW with 3 sticks.

 

Sitting in N. Topeka at a Love’s doing a 34. I think I should have picked a little bit better place. Noting around here but train tracks and grain silos owned by Cargill. Live and learn- wish I had picked out a Walmart. I think I learned another hard lesson. At least at Walmart I could have got some kind of tiny grill and got some chicken thighs. Looks like it’s just me and a handful of these-

 

I love Pizza Hut but… right now I have to make everything that I can. I also love fried chicken but nobody makes really good fried chicken anymore. Remember that good salty, spiced up chicken we used to get… well they ruined that with all their “healthy” junk. And don’t even get me started on their plant based plastic food! I remember when you’d buy a jar of PeanutMan’s peanuts and when you got to the bottom of the jar there’d be a bunch of salt and spices. Now all you’re left with is the empty jar. They say you live longer, to heck with that! I want good food like we used to get! Besides life is too short for their version what they call food.
