I’m not sure but I think I’m averaging a little over 2200 miles a week. I’m home for the next two days and back out on Wednesday. I’m still learning how everything works and I’ve had a few truckers get aggravated with me. A couple of them thought I had been doing this for years and I had to show them my license to prove that I’ve only had my license since December. I covered the important stuff- So far, no issues backing into any place yet. The wind today was pushing me pretty hard on the driver’s side headed west in Illinois. I checked the weather and it was blowing from the south at 20-25mph. I only had 20k in the trailer. I sure don’t like bobtailing or empty on windy days, makes for a lot of steering and a hard day. Chicago wasn’t bad Saturday or today, but I bet it’s a nightmare during rush hour during the week. I got out of there early this morning. Hope you guys had a good day today. I’m beat and hitting the hay!!

Years ago, one ol' boy got ticked at me, because where they unloaded my flatbed, there was a dock I was blocking, that he wanted to use. Didn't matter that there were 6 others open and ready, he wanted that one. Biotched at me for blocking the dock, I looked up and down the building, and said "This one must be the one you practiced on, since the other 6 are available." He said smugly "that's the one we use, but you wouldn't know that, since you just started driving yesterday"!
I looked right at him, and said "well, it was a week ago, but thank you for noticing!" He started mumbling something, and got back in his truck.Numb, OldeSkool, Speed_Drums and 6 others Thank this. -

The new stuff just has projector beams like a flashlight. They just point straight out into peoples eyes but really don't break up the light and spread it out onto the road. The older glass lights and some of the plastic had those patterns carved into them to break the light up and make it disperse evenly onto the road out in front of you. Appears they don't care about that concept anymore

Some are adjustable, some aren't. Often, if they have been replaced with aftermarket parts after a crunch they aren't adjustable or they adjust really poorly. The ones from Red Dragon/People's Revolutionary Industries are really bad for not adjusting properly.
