I am so glad I retired in 2011. I drove for a little over 3 million miles and 44 years. I never had to experience auto. trans, there was no computer recording my every move, no sensors surrounding my cab or drive train and no camera watching me every second.

I thought soon after I retired that I would miss the world of trucking. Guess what? There is no way I would work in an industry that does not appreciate my ability to take care of a companies equipment and be safe while doing my job. I frequent any truck stop I want, enjoy looking at all the"large cars" and talk to the drivers and buy coffee for anyone of them.
