A mans main rsponsibility is to do the best he can do for his family. 6 months to a year OTR is not a lifetime, and that sacrifise will make life better for his family that I say go for it.

grasshoppa, I see a short, but tumultuous relationship in your life!
Look inwards to change that which makes beauty around you.

I see one too. I told her last night that nothing or no one is going to get in my way of making money so my kids can have things. Today I called the recruiting dept and talked to the girl's in safety to see if I need to bring anything else and they said that my two jobs for fine and background and MVR is fine so it looks like I am aim for july 29th to go to STEVENS

BTW... I talked to a very good friend of mine, she still lives in New Castle, she does remember Lee. She was a cheerleader and remembers him from sports.

Delaware is a small state lol btw it looks like am going to be single when I leave. She told me last night that if I take the job that I am going to be single and well I am doing this for my kids so they dont have to worry about any thing and can go to collage. But the only thing I am waiting on now is my 401k from my old job so that I can go to school.:biggrin_255:

I have to thank every one on here to help me out with who I am going to work for. But as always there are a couple of bad apples that make the company look bad. Big Shout out to KMAC to help me with this. Yes I understand that Trucking will always be here but my kids are young right now where I can get a really good job and be home on the weekends in 3 yrs but hey if I really like OTR then I am going to stick with it.

I applaud your desire and drive to provide for the kids.
I too have young kids. My daughter, who just turned 1, was 3 weeks old when I left for training. Her big brother is 11 months older than her.
I've missed 1st steps, 1st words, and even 1st birthdays (my son's). Its very difficult to be away.
But in this economy and job market, a stable job with a decent income is a difficult thing to come by.
The one thing I've learned well in my short 28 years is that there are no free lunches... One cannot live well on a lottery lifestyle. In other words, nothing's free, everything has a cost.
I had 2 choices: continue to work barrel-bottom go-nowhere jobs working my ### off for nothing, living off Uncle Sam, feeling worthless, but getting to see my babies every night; OR, sacrifice a little time away from them paying my dues while they are still too young to remember my absence, a sacrifice that will help to provide a good lifestyle for them without the socialists in Washington patting themselves on the back for taking care of my family for me.

Its just unfortunate your other half isn't supporting your choice to provide...

    KMac Thanks this.
