Good luck, Whyte Trashe. I am following your adventure with Walmart in earnest. The fact that you are cautious/skeptical about the Kool-Aid bodes well for a honest opinion on your experience.
From my experiences with Walmart (outside trucking), keep your interactions to a minimum and just do your job, you should be fine.

the key to it is timing. check website everyday all day. the ones that get called the first are the ones that applied first.

That and a whole bunch of drivers transfer. NC based dcs are in high demand especially in spring.
-
I also recently applied to Walmart-Johnstown. I look forward to more posts if you do choose to work for them.

Seems.like they do it differently now. You have to go to Bentonville for a week after you are approved before you can start.

Not a bad place to work.

Do you work out of Johnstown?
-
Are they still training
out of Laurens, SC? -
I believe they are putting everyone through Bentonville. I live in NH and I thought I would go to Laurens but they are flying me to AR....
From what I was told, they are doing a lot of things regarding onboarding differently from what used to be done.Exit310 Thanks this. -
Hey T. Rucker;
How is your orientation going?
I’m scheduled to start in two weeks.
